People just can't appreciate good games anymore. If its not the way that THEY want it, it sucks.

Games can still be good if they break the mold, like dark souls or skyrim. I'd rather not have every FPS I play feel like a gritty cod-like game. Games used to have variety, like the strategy controls in republic commando, or the differences in plat-forming games like crash bandicoot and spyro. Don't get me wrong, I think halo 4 was an amazing and beautiful game, but I want more variety in gameplay

Edited by CptMacaroni : 2/7/2014 6:57:09 PMKeep in mind games are made to be played by the fans who want to enjoy it and keep it on their shelf for years too come. If you can't make a game the gamers like, then what are you doing? halo 4 wasnt horrible it was just bad. They made it to play like CoD with all the perks and ordinance drops. Bungie was all and still is about the community/fans. That's why they are so good. The sales speak for themselves.

How the hell did Skyrim "break the mold"?

I mean Bethesda in general... There weren't that many FPS (first person sword) games till Bethesda made arena
-
Eh. FirstPersonSword isn't really much of a variance from first person shooter. I wouldn't differentiate.

It didn't. I have no idea what he's talking about.

Or it could be that it just sucks and aside from having "Halo" on the box art, plays and looks nothing like a Halo game.

this is very true
