Well they did start with the lolReach engine ... only so much lipstick you can put on that pig.
They obviously didn't to too bad a job though, as it stole players away from lolReach and they did not return. Look at the online UU counts and you can see more individuals play H4 over lolReach, if it was that bad surely they would have returned?

It's just modified with each instalment.
more individuals play H4 over lolReach, if it was that bad surely they would have returned?
Then where did almost the majority of Halo 4's population go then? Reach clearly did something right, as it managed to keep its population longer than a few months, whereas Halo 4's population just dwindled away within a few months.
You do realise that every first person Halo game has used the same engine since CE, right?
So you believe that the x86 CE code base is "the same engine" as what is currently running Reach ... honestly, that is funny in its level of ignorance. Can't wait to see your broad explanation of this statement, and how you can then defend that every game that uses the Havok physics engine is just Halo under a different name, slightly modified ... this will be fun to watch.
Then where did almost the majority of Halo 4's population go then
Not back to lolReach, which proves that a Halo fan would rather leave completely than return to lolReach.
Reach clearly did something right, as it managed to keep its population longer than a few months
Wrong [again]. There was a very public smackdown between bungie and the Major Nelson site when he reported lolReach had dropped from the #1 sport just 2 weeks after launch. Naturally bungie fought hard, so much so that the following poll (which had it slip further) was removed. But alas (before your "few months" were up) the truth was exposed again, which saw lolReach drop AGAIN to third place. Face it - lolReach was a major disappointment to fans, the online numbers showed that disappointment. Activision knew bungie would try and sabotage Reach, and tried to prevent this self-explosion by setting minimum gamer score and unit sales within its new Destiny contract related to Reach - forcing bungie to at least try to deliver an excuse for quality.

What the hell? You... You made a comment that isn't asinine?! You did it! You finally did it! You made a post that wasn't completely asinine!
You made a post that wasn't completely asinine
So when are you going to even start trying. So what are you so butthurt about that has you posting rage induced stupidity ?

No one needs to try against you. You've gone incoherent. If your rectum is hurt I shall only assist you if you're a big booty female. The only rage induced stupidity is your own.
Wut no
Afraid so, 343 made the call to use the crap lolReach engine as a way to get product to market ... true, they would have been better to hold out and build something anew - but alas. Can only guess they expected bungie to deliver what they had been paid for.
