Why was this armor not brought back?
Apart from everything that Halo Wars did wrong, the designs for the Spartans were downright badass.
Why wasn't it brought back? I love this armor.

1 ReplyThe armor "wasn't brought back" because it is inferior. Look how bulky it is;That wouldn't be able to transfer over into the GEN 2 class nor would it serve any special function. Unlike what people are inaccurately saying here, RED Team's armor had prototype shields.

The armor was silly looking. It was supposed to be the model from before the Mk. V (Halo 1), yet it was lighter and more advanced looking than the Mk. V to the point where it looked more like an alternative for the Mk. VI. Because of the lack of shielding technology, it should have looked bulkier and less maneuverable than the Mv. V for better ballistics protection (which is what the Mk. IV was originally designed for). Also, the helmet is kind of lame.

5 RepliesThat armour isn't the canon MK4. The canon variant is the version seen in Forward Unto Dawn/ Halo Legends: The Package. Unless it's a testing variant of the MKV.

10 RepliesI always thought the leg armor looked [i]badass[/i]. However I'm waiting to see what Mark VII looks like. It could be in Halo 5, I'm pretty sure in one of the Kilo 5 books [spoiler]Osman gets a suit of Mark VII MJOLNIR Armor.[/spoiler] But my lore is rusty so I could be wrong.

12 RepliesBecause that armor doesn't seem to be canon. Its a variant of Mark IV but with shields, which is impossible knowing the fact that the Mark V, which was the first armor with shields, was put out in 2552.

1 ReplyYou're looking at the Mjonlir Mk IV powered assault armor. It is [i]technically[/i] inferior to it's successor, the Mk V, because of its lack of energy shielding. Thus, you'd have a disadvantage when fighting someone with any other armor Mk V+.
