My brother is getting shipped off to Afghanistan for the fourth time, my baby nephew has Leukemia, my girlfriend broke up with me, and I don't really like my job.
Sounds like you've gotten on the wrong side of luck. I know how it feels to have a brother in the military. Although he's not in Afghanistan, he's in the coast guard and I very rarely talk to or see him.
It's tough. He doesn't talk about it much, which I understand, but I worry that each time I see him (which is maybe once a year when he isn't overseas) will be the last time I see him. So I try to make the most of it whenever we're together.
