I've been trying to watch live streams of EVE for a few months now. I don't grasp the concept behind it or what you're suppose to do. It's probably just me. The only time I hear about it on various forum boards is when a massive battle happens.

You do what you want really. You want to do PVP? You'll usually train your weapons(OFFENSE)/armor,shield(DEFENSE) skills up. Do PVE missions for a while to gain money, then head out to do PVP. Get money from bounties. Or Development/Production. Usually train some mining and item development skills. If u do both PVP and the above, you can actually make all your ships and equipment. Or some trades guy. Buying, selling items at main market stations. Pretty much open ended in what you want to do. Devs allow for ISK scams to occur, as long as they are being done in a way that the game allows and not a glitch. You can also become some kind of spy that can sabotage a corp from the inside. Had that happen to a corp i joined a month back. Guy took a lot of stuff and destroyed the rest.

I watched for like an hour, lines and specs on a screen with the odd spark of a big ship blowing up somewhere.
