PvE for me. I prefer massive battles and PvE is the only place to find those. Also I enjoy the exploration of it all.
I enjoy the exploration of it all.
That would be a deciding factor for most on the PvE side of the fence I'd wager. You just don't have the time to stop and smell the roses in competi-OH WAIT CUSTOM GAMES ψ(`∇´)ψ

Also, Marty is the prime reason I became a Bungie fan and PvP isn't known for it's stirring music ;) I like PvP fine, I just prefer Pve 95% of the time (though custom games are great for someone like me with not so good internet).

To be fair you can always hook up your tunes to play through but it's not at all the same as having the score or incidental music to play to. I will miss custom games since I'm PvE also and those are technically PvP, at least by the precedent Bungie's set thus far (I don't really count Firefight customs as those were just under Firefight) but it's possible the areas designed from the ground up for PvP could serve double duty in PvE as they did in Reach, so there's still the possibility of stopping and smelling those particular roses.

Question: If there were a "Forge" mode, would it be PvP? I understand that they are building maps FOR PvP but the creation experience itself is often cooperative (giggity)

If it's just for building maps for PvP then by the established rules which I just made up right now Forge is considered part of the PvP, not the PvE experience. If it can be utilized for both even if it's just a kind of Horde/Firefight-type mode in PvE, then like Theater or the Tower hub area it's overlap and is kosher regardless how you voted. By your logic playing on a team is often cooperative, that just ain't gonna cut the mustard miss/ter

Sounds fair. Mmmmm...mustard...
