Don't you have to have PS+ to play online? And ESO has online in the goddamn fucking title

You're thick aren't you? Since ESO is a P2P game, it means in-house server hosting vs. Sony or Microsoft server hosting. So Sony decided to put it infront of the PS+ wall (like it does with DCUO and others with self server hosting) while Mircosoft keeps all online access behind their Gold wall.
