I tried to read it all, but Halo 4 canon is stupid I couldn't. Was a good post, it's just an awful game.

Too far away from the Gravemind? Either that or trying to stop Truth from getting through the portal. I do want to know why the Gravemind decided earth was such a big target. Why not a covenant world? Or a human colony? Given High Charity's status, I imagine he got some nice locations of Covenant worlds...

Hey, those were the best reasons I could come up with. I still don't think they are very good. But if you think about it, the Covenant are more useless than the UNSC when it comes to Flood, why not go for them first?
