Pretty much some monks from my town traveled to Belgium to learn from the monks there to brew ale for a couple of years. The monastery is now the first one in the U.S to start brewing this particular kind of ale.
I was lucky enough to get a case from the closest liquor store (they sold out pretty -blam!-ing quick) and I started drinking it with a few of my friends. It's honestly one the best beers I've ever had. It's a little pricey, but it's definitely worth it.
