I rarely play games on any difficulty over normal.
I'd like to get Dark Souls, it sounds like something I'd really get into... Except for the difficulty, there's no point in paying for a game I'm going to give up on a few hours in.
So, for me. If Dark Souls had an easy mode it'd be a insta-buy. (If I had money >.>)

It's not that hard, it just punishes you for making mistakes. It's got a pretty steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it's a blast.
