Yes. Rewrite the constitution to fit the needs of your religion.

  • No, rewrite it so that it can no longer be interpreted in a way that allows the suppression of all religions.

  • It has nothing to do with suppression of religion. Either they have to endorse and recognize ALL religions, which is a gigantic waste of time, or just recognize and endorse none. You still have the right to be religious.

  • Not if I'm a public servant, according to the current interpretation of the 1st Amendment.

  • You can still be religious even if you're a public servant. source: look at Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court. an overwhelming number are religious.

  • And yet, they can't wear religious adornments during their jobs. Thus, Muslim women and Sikh men are banned from public service jobs unless they want to violate their beliefs, and that is not okay.

  • Pretty sure it's the same in the US. And even if it's not, the way things are currently going, it will be eventually. Also, the law in Quebec will not pass, the Prime Minister already said himself that it was unconstitutional, it's gonna get struck down, fortunately.

  • Is this in reference to them wearing the hijab/burqa and kirpan (Sikh dagger)?

  • Oh for -blam!-s sake. It does not allow for the suppression of religion. It allows for government to NOT suppress nor endorsed religion.

  •
But then again, do you really need to sue?
This is blatantly unconstitutional, so yes.
