It's a great game, truly awesome, but ultimately far too easy.
The Brave/Default system is game breaking in places. I think it would have been better allowing you to Brave only once, to gain one extra move, as you can kill most mobs in less than one full team rotation without even getting hit.
Still, pleased with the game and my purchase. Can't wait for the recently announced Bravely Second to come out in EU.

Edited by KilljoyDetective: 1/22/2014 7:57:59 PMOne of the developers commented on that and said it make him think of the times when he would be fighting a boss in other Final Fantasy games and they could use two moves in one turn and the like, so they wanted to put something in that gave the player the chance to do something like it. Of course it can make battles go faster, but it's a high-risk high-reward scenario. If you meet a new enemy for the first time and think you can Blitz it, then come up short damage wise, it will get you wrecked pretty easily. I've put about 22 hours into the demo and have done all I can besides finishing Norende village, so it sucks that I can't do anything more with it, but it's amusing using Valkyries that have over 100 attack each, then doing jumps for 2000+ damage sometimes. Ordering my Collector's later today, decided to buy it online from Best Buy instead of giving Game Stop my money, they're going to get money out of me for LR FF-XIII so they can deal with it.

Don't get me wrong - it's one of my top 3 games last year. I love it to bits. But I'm about 12 hours into the full game, playing on hard, and haven't come close to wiping once. I understand the high risk, high reward aspect of the game. But I personally feel 4 Brave points each per team member can mean up to 16 moves at once - which will destroy most enemies in one swoop. I must admit, the system does work better against bosses though. And enjoy the collectors edition too dude - I got the EU version with art book, soundtrack and Agnés metal figurine and it is beautiful.

Well if you gear up appropriately, don't rush into things, and make sure you're leveled and have the proper job abilities, I would hope you wouldn't wipe ha. Might play on hard then if it's appropriate, though this is the localized version we got, it's usually not as difficult as the version that Japan got. I don't play games like this for the difficulty anyways, and there's plenty of difficult end-game bosses. The West version doesn't have a figurine, but the 34 AR cards should be a decent replacement, I can get some use out of those. Can't wait for it
