go my hard copy of my drivers license today (:
It feels awesome! My mom called me and was like *******! youve got mail, and i was like "wat". i thought at first it was this thing that was going to mention something about how i have to pay taxes soon or whatever. im turning 18 in a like a month and a half and i dont know how thats going to work. it turns out though it was my drivers license! its awesome!!!! i instantly chopped up and threw out my old one and put my new one in. G2 baby!
What was getting your license like? were you excited and like bouncing off the walls?

I remember it being awesome getting it at 16 and walking out of the DMV with it in hand. Then getting to drive later that day by myself. Went over to a few friends houses. Why did you have to wait for the mail?

I wasn't really excited. It was just a plastic card that said I was allowed to drive, but I already could with or without permission so it wasn't a big deal.

I got mine when I was 16. My dad said that I should learn to drive and he taught me. Once I got my license and picture, I kind of regret not taking care of my physical appearance back in high school, as well as the people telling you not to smile in your ID. My driver's license picture is from when I was 16, and I was about to smile when they told me not to, and then they took the picture. I look like I'm stoned in my driver's license picture. My dad looks pissed off in his driver's license picture because he looks like he's scowling in it, and my mom looks like she has no eyes in her picture because the frames of her glasses were down a bit, and I'm guessing that she blinked. Got to love the DMV, right?

A great sense of relief. -blam!-, not asking for rides anymore was the best. Still remember stalling on my way back home lol. I also remember that night, driving across the city in damn near blizzard conditions to go to a friends dads house. And getting a $45 parking ticket. Good times, I guess lol.

I've had my permit for like 8 months now. My parents don't like my driving so they won't let me go get my lisence.
