...Is the Sabrewulf bit a reference to KI or just a coincidence? Anyway, I like these types of threads.

  • I just like Sabre-Cats and Wolfs would've been great pets.

  • That's a really funny coincidence haha. There's a recurring character in a fighting game series called Killer Instinct who's named Sabrewulf! Good character too. When it comes to multiple character games like Battlefield, Mass Effect 3, etc. I imagine I'll just cycle the same characters I made up for BF3/BF4. I mean, we know time travel is possible thanks to the Vex. Who's to say it's impossible for a group of soldiers fighting in 2014 couldn't accidentally stumble on Vex technology while fighting all over the world? Wouldn't it be overwhelming to go from fighting Russian insurgents to suddenly seeing the same bunker you were assaulting decrepit and overrun by foliage, with a Fallen Captain with his foot over some "old" Russian military gear as if to claim the land? That's a really interesting concept. Or even abandoning the time travel aspect, perhaps my characters in Destiny are simply descendants of the ones that fought in 2014-2020. Who knows? That's what I like about open ended games like Destiny. You can craft all these little nuances and traits to the character inadvertently while you're playing. That helps you get attached to the characters. I mean, everyone who played Mass Effect 1-3 had this image in their mind of how their version of Shepard was perceived in that game. When people spoke of him, did they speak of a heartless killer who occasionally faltered when it came to certain issues, or did they speak of a character whose heart was in the right place but unintentionally screwed a lot of people over? (Did I mention I accidentally condemned the Quarian race to extinction the first time I played ME3?) To make a long story short...I'm torn between a lot of interesting ideas. Thinking about something this much before the game is even out is a good sign, though!:D

  • Well for one, I believe Destiny will give us that one feeling we are missing, anticipated just to play it!
