I'm saying Spartan Ops was a waste of funding and time that could have been spent fleshing out the back story as part of the campaign.

But that isn't true though. It expanded on the campaign and people did like it.

Except that it could have been integrated without the extremely boring and repetitive missions that solely consisted of bad dialogue, corridor shooting, and button pressing. Not to mention that if you didn't preorder or get the special edition you had to pay MORE for important backstory. Or that if you didn't have Live or a connection you were boned.

I understand that. But people don't get that since it was free it isn't like they had the resources to make each and every mission completely different. If they tried that it wouldn't have been finished for launch. There was plenty of good dialogue if you are willing to stop focusing on palmer. I don't know what you are referring to as i preordered the game. Spartan ops didn't come with the regular editions? That isn't their fault. Everything has to be connected to the internet now. Nearly all companies are pushing for it. They din't have control over that.
