People don't seem to know what happens after Skyrim. Let me explain:
Tamriel is basically in a World War. Nords, Thalmor, Argonians, etc are all trying to take control of Cyrodiil. The Imperial Legion is a joke and barely exists and is just viewed as minor as a group of bandits to other Empires. The above is a link that will explain it all.
EDIT: So apparently its before Skyrim. I thought it was after due to the way they worded things in that video.

All events in TESO are thousands of years prior to Skyrim.

Yes. It's about the TESO war... ...Which is in the second -blam!-ing era. Skyrim is in the forth era. Hell, all of those people mentioned are -blam!-ing dead now.
