I was going to genuinely read this until I realized the first 3 paragraphs are critiquing Battlefield for it's singleplayer.

But it's single player is shitty. There is no fun in the campaign at all except getting the multiplayer unlocks. Even putting the campaign on Hard difficulty didn't get any excitement out of it. And the multiplayer is so un-finished it should still be called Beta. The lighting effects, minimal explosive engine and the crashing and audio abnormalities (and lack of) show that the BF franchise are only trying to compete with CoD's loyal players other than making their own loyals happier and more satisfied with this game, than the last.

Any real BF fan knows single player has (at least without regard to The Bad Company subseries) functioned only for achievements or whatever few unlocks come out of completion. I'd prefer DICE do away with singleplayer in the franchise altogether and focus solely on multiplayer development because really that's what BF is about, large scale warfare / vehicular warfare / squad combat. That being said, BF4 has a truckload of issues multiplayer wise. I honestly think they should have disregarded the production of a scaled down version for last gen (even though I've yet to acquire a ps4 and have purchased and play BF4 for ps3) and devoted those resources to polishing the next gen version for the consoles' launch. I appreciate BF4 for what it has the potential to become and leads to and sadly not for it's current state or the state it was released in. Although it is tremendous fun.

I'm not saying it isn't fun. And I am a true BF player. Ever since Bad Company. I have always thought the story was great. Even BF3. I feel like they could of stepped up a little more for people who enjoyed the story lines of games, not just the multiplayer.
