Trust me, I'm a cop. Now go drug that person/kidnap that baby...
I'm sure most of you will know about Stanley Milgram's Experiment, and how people will obey authority figures to the point of killing another human being.

Please continue.
The experiment requires that you continue.
It is absolutely essential that you continue.
You have no other choice, you must go on.
If the subject still wished to stop after all four successive verbal prods, the experiment was halted. Otherwise, it was halted after the subject had given the maximum 450-volt shock three times in succession.
Well after seeing someone post a WWYD video on here, I've spent the last few hours watching them (Yes I have no life) and whilst there are plenty of holes to pick with them such as sample size/cherry picking etc I don't want to focus on that too much.
What I do want to look at is this video. 8 Minutes long and just as disturbing as the Milgram Experiment, the guy claims to be a bounty hunter and flashes some official looking badge and then three people do the following;
-Steal the woman's purse
-Spike her drink with a sedative (Fake tablet of course)
-Kidnap the freaking baby.
The only guy who says 'hold on a minute there' (Out of all 22 people who were tested with it) refused to steal the baby, but agreed to block the 'mother' from rescuing the infant from the Bounty Hunter.
Now, this doesn't mean 'All Cops are evil' or any other contrived bollocks that you might care to tear out of this to further your own political beliefs/agenda... Not mentioning any names.......... <.<
However, it does mean that there are people out there who will commit all sorts of crimes if they are told to by a man with a badge. I just wanted to bring this up for everyone to have a look at to maybe induce some healthy scepticism incase someone does come across this sort of scenario.
If an authority figure tells you to do something, but it is clearly and objectively wrong/illegal to do so try to think twice before agreeing. It doesn't mean 'question all authority!' it means keep your wits about you for situations like this.
Anyways, just a five minute thread I threw together after something piqued my interest.
