Most football hits are harder than most rugby hits from what I've seen. Some rugby hits are brutal, but many football hits are top athletes moving full speed.

Yep lets just ignore the fact that rugby is a lot tougher to play considering the ball is all most never out of play. I've played both sports in HS and Rugby is definitely tougher and you have to be in a lot better shape to play, there's simply no denying it.

Not to mention rugby "hits" you have to wrap up and take them down. You can't just drop a shoulder and truck them like many football hits

Oddly enough, the gear they wear makes it more dangerous. Besides, it has nothing to do with if it's fun to watch.
