I just got BF4 earlier this week and admittedly, it's the first Battlefield game that I've owned. Right now, I don't really know what I'm doing so I've just been using Assault and trying to get a feel for the controls. I normally burst fire with the rifle and stay with a positive k/d but I don't know how relevant that is in BF except for death match games.
If you guys have any tips for support, please let me know because I was hoping to try that class soon.

Keep at least one team item in your gadgets. It may be tempting to take two purely offensive items, but it will be far more beneficial to take items that boost your team. Spawn points, ammo packs, medkits, defibrillators, and blowtorches can all turn the tide far better than carrying around a grenade launcher and some C-4.
-
make sure youre aware of your teammates calling out for health packs or ammo packs. Youll get an ammo icon flashing on your minimap, that means someone just called out for ammo at that location. Make it a habit to randonly drop ammo and health on the floor even if noones calling out for it.

Try improving your sniping skills. Once you get good with your sniper you get some rewarding kills.

Battlefield's accuracy system is that the longer you hold the trigger the less accurate you are. As you fire full auto: Vertical and horizontal recoil increases. Weapon spread increases. Suppression effect decreases. Unless you are in close range ALWAYS burst. (Don't use the actual burst function, just tap while on full auto, it gives a small amount of extra versatility).
-
That's what I meant when I said I burst. I leave it on full auto and just rhythmically hit the trigger.
-
Then this is perfect for you. Basic fundamentals, help you become well liked in game and gives you an advantage.

Dude, that was a really great video! I'm considering getting BF4 sometime soon, it doesn't require a sub, right? (PC)
-
Not for pc.
-
Wait, wat?
-
There is no subscription. Xbl and lsn require their subscriptions.
-
Sorry, my tired brain thought you meant no BF4 on PC lol.
-
No subscription.

That was really helpful. A lot of information to take in but I'll watch it a few more times. Thanks.

Thank you! Just point at enemies and hit RB or R1. Makes it much easier for you to see, and your team will also shot at that guy too. Support class, when using the LMG's just burst fire. Full auto is like hip fire on counter strike.

I feel like some of this info has already helped. Still playing as an Assault class but in the last game I was in, I was pretty much a med kit pinata and it helped keep some of our guys alive around choke-points. Thanks again for the info.

I'm getting a PS4 and Battlefield 4 soon. It helps if you have a squad to play with. Maybe we could team up sometime.
