What happens when a teen gets violent? Pretty easy to hurt/kill someone with something as simple as a screwdriver, keys, heavy object. Also pretty easy to get a knife

  • They won't have objects like that. If they are violent they get handcuffed. leg restraints also if needed

  • I don't see that working well against say a big athletic older teen with a knife when they come to get him. Just theorizing.

  • That makes sense. Sounds fairly traumatic. Also what do they do to the teens at the camp who refuse to do as told?

  • Probably nothing serious. They are not there as a punishment. It's not a jail. It is a place for them to get better. I imagine that the staff would try to talk them into doing the activities.

  • No, not necessarily. Remember this isn't a punishment, and its not a prison. There are many cases where everyone ( the kid included ) decides that it's best for them to go to turnabout ranch. And they go there for some wilderness therapy. There is a middle and high school there so they get to continue schooling, while taking part in theraputic activities and counselling if needed.
