Id pick up 1.5 remix.
I got it when it release and it looks pretty gorgeous.
Plus it comes with extra key blades, enemies, and chain of memories, and is only 40 bucks.
Definitely pick up 1.5 over original

Alright, I still plan on getting the original version because I like having PS2 titles and having the original versions of games but I'll pick up 1.5 first. Is 2.5 an "final" version of the second game as well? Also I never played Kingdom Hearts and I'm getting solely based on word of mouth by my friends, how good is it?

KH 2 is much better and the 2.5 Collection will feature the Final Mix version of KH2 and an HD remake of the PSP game, Birth by Sleep. And, honestly, I'd say screw it and only get the collections if I were you. The HD collections are strictly better. But, if you insist on getting both versions anyway, then I'd say to get the original versions first. After all, what sense is there in playing a version with downgraded graphics and less content than the first version you play if you get the HD version first?

Edited by Loser n00b: 12/19/2013 2:05:26 AMThe beginning is fairly linear, but it opens up after a few hours. But that's not the issue so much as it takes a bit to get interested in the story. Maybe it's because I'm older now and I'm now starting up the game again with 1.5, but the beginning just didn't seem as interesting. Definitely gets much better after the 3rd planet, though.

You visit the Disney worlds right? Are they interesting/fun to visit? My favorite things to do when I play Final Fantasy is visiting a new area and finding new stuff to do there.

Yeah, the planets come from Disney stories. Most of them are pretty good, such as Mount Olympus, Agrabah, and Halloween Town. Some of them can be a bit repetitive with backtracking, but you'll enjoy the experience overall.
