you can skip the cutscenes... but most of the violence is in the gameplay, the cutscenes are probably the tamest part of the game...
when you can, i recommend watching the cutscenes. the characters are great and are expertly written, they really add to the game, try not to miss them.
and tell your parents they are being dumb, but, in a constructive way or something...

Yes I will be watching all the cutscenes on YouTube. They won't care if I do that. Yes I got Battlefield 4 for the launch edition of my PS and they won't let me play it, but I'm close to graduating since I will be graduating at 17, I will be playing whatever I want when I go to college including BF4 which I told them I am keeping till then.
