'I have been guilty of a long list of indelible crimes against DPRK government and Korean people,' Newman purportedly wrote,
"...and upon returning home after his confession, gave his veteran buddies a fist bump, said 'fuck yeah I killed me some gooks', and went back to playing some shuffleboard." On one hand, it's disgusting they forced an apology from an old man; on the other, it's hilarious that they accuse him of being a war criminal that murdered civilians and all they want is an apology before setting him free. GG North Korea. Much victory. Such win. Wow.

 • I doubt they let him go because they just wanted an apology. It's probably because torturing and/or killing a war vet would unleash hell upon them
