I've always said Merry Christmas. If you literally get so offended that you can't tell me you celebrate some other holiday you need to get whatever thorn you have out of your ass and lighten up. I celebrate Christmas so I'm going get into the Christmas spirit, not the Holiday spirit cause that would entail I celebrate something other than Christmas which I don't.

  • It's not about getting offended, it's just about understanding that not everyone celebrates the same holiday. So you should say happy holidays instead.

  •
So you should say happy holidays instead.
Explain why I should, if people aren't offended.

  • Because not everyone celebrates Christmas. It's really not that big of a deal, if it really pains you to be open minded and use an insignificant mannerism, then just don't worry about it.

Mannerism? I thought you said it doesn't offend anyone? I remember 10 years ago everyone celebrated Christmas lol. I think people who try and dictate what should and shouldn't be said are the ones who need to learn some manners and tolerence. As a Christian, I don't get upset if you say "happy holidays", "happy hannakuh" or whatever. The only one who isn't open minded is yourself. If you acknowledge not everyone celebrates the same thing, then you need to accept people will say their blessings accordingly. Please, justify your hypocrisy. K, thx.

  • Just because you aren't polite doesn't mean you're being offensive. If you don't say 'bless you' after someone sneezes you're not being rude, you're just not being polite.
I think people who try and dictate what should and shouldn't be said are the ones who need to learn some manners and tolerence.
I would agree, so I'm confused as to why you're claiming I'm being hypocritical if I never said people have to say it a certain way. I merely said 'should' say happy holidays, since all people should be polite, but fortunately we live in a country where you're not forced to do that. So again, if you're really bothered by it, then just don't say it.
