I think some people are still mad about Jason Jone's opinions on controllers that was taken out of context from his last interview.
Regardless, I am going to not put too much excitement in 1 article. Likely the content we are being told about will not be anything "groundbreaking" as they are hyping you up to feel. That is how I felt about the last few trailers. Bungie needs to step their game up a bit, I really hope it is time to get down to business seeing as this game is shipping in 4-5 months.

He said something along the lines of:
We did a bunch of ambitious things on Halo deliberately to reach out to people. We limited players to two weapons, we gave them recharging health, we automatically saved and restored the game—almost heretical things to first-person shooters at the time. We made the game run without a mouse and keyboard. And now nobody plays shooters the way they used to play them before Halo 'cause nobody wants to.
One way to look at this was that he was saying that "Nobody wants to play shooters with a mouse and keyboard.", which is probably not what he meant, still rustled many jimmies :)

Oh I see. Sort of reminds me of how some PC gamers got super-pissy when Urk clarified that there would not be a PC version of Destiny at launch. In that same interview there was a sentence discussing how the market changed when first person shooters came to consoles, but out of context it sounded like a direct shot at PC gamers.

To be fair, many sources simply quoted the last two sentences, so without the entire paragraph a lot of the context was lost :)

Erm... just how much do they need to step up their game? This seems like a significant increase in "Hey let's talk about stuff we haven't talked about before!" than what we've seen recently...

Edited by Spartan Ken 15: 12/3/2013 8:51:55 PMI would like Bungie to actually spend some time and talk about their game in detail, like how will multiplayer work for example. Bungie has been saying things like yeah we have multiplayer and trading, but all they show is a 2 second clip of it then, Be brave. Bungie nevers explains anything about it other than we should be excited. That doesn't make me that hyped when I keep watching more trailers where Bungie keeps doing it. I feel like Bungie doesn't really want to talk about Destiny or at least say something definite. Looking back at the Halo weekly updates and Vidocs I feel like we were spoiled.

Edited by Spartan Ken 15: 12/3/2013 8:56:37 PMI have read a bunch of articles for Destiny before that promise to have a lot of new information that just ends up being hype. I would rather Bungie show me their game, none of this Hollywood style, fast-paced editing. I want to spend a few minutes and take it in. The Old Russia gameplay was great but Bungie kept using it for far too long, and are sill using it. I would like an informative, (non-flashy), Multiplayer Vidoc or anything else, as long as it is like the Halo Vidocs. Not a trailer.

There is a ton of unknown information in the Game Informer article
