Generalisations, misanthropy; why not both? America seems to be much more ideologically divided than most other countries. Probably because of how much the people are in love with the idea of freedom, and take it to the extremes of constant idelogical conflict.

The problem isn't with people, it's with ideology. People just get too caught up in the circumstances of their birth and young life to see the truth.
