If you arnt Christian why do you use our calendar? BC and AD are from Christianity and AD, started after Jesus was born. So why do you use our calendar if you arnt Christian? Be like Muslims and make your own calendar.
Checkmate
• Are you being serious? AD and BC are based of the birth if Jesus, yet so many non Christians use it.

  • The correct notations would be B.C.E and C.E, at least when it comes to science. B.C.E = Before Common Era C.E = Common Era Also that is a pretty ignorant thing to say regardless. It is like saying Americans can't use the metric system. The A.D B.C notations are accepted worldwide(remove the science community), so that is what everyone uses. Also I am sure there are plenty of things invented by people of other religions that you use, so again, that is a pretty ignorant thing to say.

BCE and CE, are new versions to say it. They havnt been around forever. And like you said, majority do not use that. And yea I know it was ignorant, but the point was is that the OP was talking about Christians taking a pagon tradition and making it Christian. So I pointed out a thing that most of the world takes from Christians. At least Muslims made their own calendar for their own religion.

  • Actually it's commonly referred to as BCE and CE now rather than BC and AD. Also it's estimated that the Christ was born several decades before year 1 CE. Check.
Don't call an uneducated checkmate.
O yes I know what's it's called now by some people. But the fact is that nonchristians still base it off of a CHRISTIAN thing. Their is no way around that, that's the truth. Don't try and act like it isn't.
Checkmate again
• No, you're wrong
Some oppose the Common Era notation for explicitly religious reasons. Because the BC/AD notation is based on the traditional year of the conception or birth of Jesus of Nazareth, removing reference to him in era notation is offensive to some Christians.[85]
