[spoiler]Edward lost everything to take care of his wife, and right his wrongs. A lot of his friends died, and at the end of the game he learns his wife died, but he also meets his daughter, and eventually settles down and raises a family. [/spoiler]I think I feel melancholy because I loved the story and the characters and its now over.
