Because one of the youtubers guessed it would be a week or two at most. I think it was Destiny Updates. And since then it's been spread as fact by the uninformed. The one thing that the op did get right is that most people don't think for themselves.

Fair enough, it doesn't specify "a week" but, in the celebrating ps4 launch post from DeeJ it states Destiny beta will be available first on ps3 and ps4.
