You know I'm going to say it.
If you can't pay for a pet (and it's insurance) then just don't get a pet. You wouldn't get a car if you couldn't afford the insurance.

Not necessarily. I mean from a standpoint you could easily say yes, don't have a kid if you can't afford one. On the other hand, having a kid isn't always a choice. A women can get pregnant, and may be pro-life/can't afford an abortion.
