Games you loved at first, but grew to hate.

I'd have to go with: Skyrim Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Paper Mario: Sticker Star Sonic Adventure 2: Battle Minecraft Most have to do with a tedious amount of grinding, or getting stuck at a particular point (usually due to glitches). How about you?

    • Black Ops 2. At first I loved its MP because I was pretty much a total stud at it, but then everyone started using shotguns, target finders, LMGs, and all the other OP things. The game has terrible weapon balance and another thing I noticed is all of the weapons have unrealistic recoil. Like little to none

    • Borderlands 2. I had a legit +80% to all of my badass stuff and a glitch reset everything on my badass. Killed the game outright for me.

Diablo 3 Borderlands 2 Might as well sell it cheaper and skip any story. Just call it gear quest or grinding for gear. I don't hate them, just that they got boring way to quickly.

      • Minecraft and Borderlands 2 I still love the two but I've grown senile and I get disappointed at all the missed opportunities and wasted effort by the devs. For MC, things like horses and fireworks are just make me angry because they're damn near useless and are just there to cater to the largely younger fanbase who think those features are cool. They will add these things and 7 flowers that all serve the exact same purpose (light gray dye) but it takes them several months to finish fully implementing nether brick, slabs/stairs, villagers (which are still effectively livestock), ect. With Borderlands 2, it's the grinding and grinding for unsatisfying equipment and realizing all you're going to do with it is grind something else.

          • Gow judgement. Loved the campaign the first play through. Loved multiplayer the first few days. Then it all got too old, stale, and repetitive far to quickly.

Minecraft I liked it better when it was simpler and more minimalistic. Just felt like LEGO. Now it feels like it's trying to be something it's not and I don't play it anymore because of that. What they added wasn't stuff that I wanted, I think is what I am trying to say. Oh also, for a reversal, Fallout 3 and NV. I didn't like them when I first started out. I liked NV more than F3 at first, but grew to not like that too. I've been playing both a little more lately and they're more fun when you actually roleplay.

            • Skyrim. I like the game, but most of the "endless possibilities" are just boring caves with no fun.

Far Cry 3. It seemed to have had so much potential, but the problem was that that big, open Rook Island had nothing in it. Seriously, it was like the whole game outside of story missions was so empty, it might as well have been on rails and saved some space on my hard drive. Don't get me wrong, the movement around the open world is really cool and all, but there's nothing to kill with all those beastly skills you unlock. I NEVER got a good opportunity to use the Grenade Takedown, despite how cool it was. There just wasn't anyone to fight! Before Ubi added in the Outpost Reset Button, once you killed all the bad guys, that was it--Vaas and whatshisname never called in more guys to take back territory, and even GTA: San Andreas had that back in the day. Also, why do I need the skins of sixteen different animals to make all these ammo pouches and slings? Why can't I just skin the same animal sixteen times? (Mary Poppins style pouches, might I add. Really, how is Jason Brody carrying thirty-five arrows, two machine guns, a bag of RPGs and enough C4 to take Roosevelt off of Mount Rushmore?) And the rock trick. Really? Professional mercenaries fall for the rock trick? Nobody ever says, "Whoa, now, that sounded suspicious, we should all be on alert!"? Ah well. Still a good game, just needed more stuff and less collectibles. #assassinscreedtwothroughfour
