You guys... You guys... You HONESTLY thought they were going to let you fly the ship?
1. Read Nitron's post. He basically uses logic and sums it all up.
2. A few months ago at E3, during an interview, they were asked about flying the ships. Their response was "we want to limit the number of controllable vehicles in the first instalment"
With a bit of brain power, this basically translates to "BUDDY... You ain't flying the ships".

I don't mind... It isn't that big of a deal I'm in for the story and a minor setback like this won't affect my opinion of the game... Sure it would have been [i]fun[/i] to fly a ship, but that fun would have been short lived as it would have quickly become routine in a game like destiny... Still it would have been more fun, but the game will progress without it, and nothing you say will change anything... I suggest you accept it and move on to anticipating what I hope to be a great game to enjoy with friends... Have a nice day.
