Damn I didn't know of this... :(
-
yeah, they even named a character after him in LoK: Mako. part of the reason im so angry he is not a good character.
-
Truth be told, Mako sucked the first season. But he's been one of the only smart characters in the second season/Book, the only one that isn't either A) Immature and stubborn like a bull(Korra) B) obsessed with themselves and Fame(Bo'Lin), C) Manipulating others under the guise that he's their only ally(Water Tribe rich guy, I don't remember his name but I remember his Assistant's lol), and the list goes on. He's been smart nearly the whole time, and better than nearly anyone else besides Tenzin.
-
its like all of the good characters got flipped now that Korra is getting better. as her character gets better everyone else falls apart. if his name wasnt Mako i would suggest that they... Jet him off somewhere. ;)

Oh shit, it's the classic She's the only reliable one we can turn to deal...I hope it doesn't keep proceeding that way. Oh ho ho, I see what you did there...

You can tell the difference between the VA's with this episode but when I watched Book 3 I couldn't tell the difference at all, I didn't know he died until after I saw Book 3 and I didn't believe it because the voice between Books 2 & 3 was so identical. But it was pretty noticeable in this episode.
-
yeah, it was very close and i couldn't tell until half way though the third book (he was mostly silent too remember) because that is when i learned he died. i was very sad. it was noticeable but i cant fault the VA, he's doing his best and i appreciate it. still, the tears.
-
This episode was great simply because of all the call outs to TLA. But Iroh's being there does bring up a lot of questions though. Questions I doubt that will be answered.
-
yeah maybe thats why i was so ok with it even though it had little-to-no bending this episode. well, in TLA it was said that he ventured into the spirit wold, so him being there isnt too much of a stretch for me. its how he got there that is puzzling.
-
Well I know him being in the Spirit World was brought up before, but it makes me wonder why he is able to live forever but not Professor Zei. Also I don't think it was ever explained how Korra knew who Iroh was.
-
He said he left his body behind like Korra and Jinora did.
-
So even if his body dies his spirit can still live in the spirit world? And it still doesn't explain how Korra knew who he was.

Edited by lonepaul2441: 11/10/2013 3:08:03 PMLike they say, if you have no body to return to, your stuck in the spirit world. Kind of makes the point obvious with the 3 adults protecting their bodies and Siege of the North Pole episodes in The last airbender. Korra would have known from her past lives, maybe the general of the United Forces mentioned him, he did say his family is very friendly with the Avatar.
-
hmm, true. convenient avatar loop-hole? as i said before in another thread about Avatar: i dont watch this for the plot. i watch to see people chuck boulders at each other.
-
i watch to see people chuck boulders at each other.
There will never be a one hour special OVA of Toph and King Boomy in a Earth Bending fight....
-
[ugly sobbing] severe lack of Beifong-Badass has me in tears.
-
Her daughter is a total bitch, like seriously. I don't know what Tenzin did when they broke up but she is clearly still crabby about it. I would like to know who Toph got together with though, she was my favorite character in TLA.
-
yeah, she seems like she is filling the role of "hardass police chief" so i dont really care all that much. her importance was snuffed early in season 2 with the introduction of Varic. yes. she was best in that show. hell, when i rewatch A:TLA with people i give them season 1 and tell them to watch it themselves then we watch 2 and up together. i cant even season 1 anymore. her snark. i definitely dont want to think of her having sex though, so Lin showed up on her doorstep. yup. no baby-daddies, just a swan-stork and a bundled up baby. yup.
-
I'm trying to imagine her grown up self having sex right now. I cant stop laughing cause I can just imagine her calling whatever partner she has "Twinkle Toes".
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
You know you're laughing at it also.
-
a little, then i cringed. she is blind, and she can feel vibrations. meaning she can see when people are doin-it if she is even remotely near. awkward. also she would be able to *clears throat* size up her potential partners... gah. she was 12 when the series ended i cant think of her having sex. wtf. no.
