I'm going to point out that the animation of this episode was great since we now have Studio MIR animating the episodes now. They're so much better than the crappy animation studio that did episodes 1-6 and episode 9.

>Studio Pierrot >Bad animation They're an anime studio that focuses on anime, working on a western cartoon. Cut them some slack.

What's the difference? We had cardboard characters that never blink and always stay still when they talk. It's boring to watch. Not to mention how characters sere always off model. Both instances were under certain conditions. Mako was in the middle of a hectic boat chase and Asami was excited over her deal with Varrick. While I can understand the not blinking getting to you, I don't understand why people not moving while talking is an issue. Most people in real life and in shows stand still when talking, only moving when it's necessary or when it's a quirk about them.

No facial movements is annoying, and you can clearly see the difference in MIR's work. Just look at how the character express themselves when they talk.

I'm going to need to see clips of episodes 1-6, and I recall seeing facial expressions in episode 9.

Edited by DarkestSeptagon: 11/10/2013 3:24:01 AMI'm too lazy for that. But i'll say the one where Korra breaks her dad out is the worst.
-
Was that the same episode where the judge sentenced him to death? Cause he seemed to have made a rather chocked face over that. Also, I believe that's the same episode where Korra threatens the judge with Naga, the judge looked pretty scared from what I can remember.

I believe so, look at the parts where Korra is talking to Unalaq, the only thing moving is her mouth, she doesn't look intimidating at all if she's just standind there moving her mouth. And Pierrot has a terrible habit of not animating background characters. If you re-watch it you should see what I mean.
