I do have a French Press, and I love the coffee it produces but, I like to use it when serving groups of people. For me, it's a bit too much of a hassle to clean the entire apparatus for just one cup of coffee you know? It's such an elegantly simple way to brew though, and you have control over nearly every aspect of the coffee brewing process as well if you're that kind of guy or gal. Not to mention that the metal mesh filter allows for more of the natural oils to pass through unlike the paper ones. I bought a metal cone for myself when pouring over which is definitely the way to go if you do.
