Can't really blame the politicians when the IT guys (which IIRC are from private firms) are the ones designing the website. I guess the general population has realized something that gamers already know; launching a product that attracts millions of users will almost certainly lead to severe issues with the servers. E.g. BF4, GTA Online, etc

Honestly, that's a pretty shitty comparison. While it's true that errors can occur, this healthcare thing isn't a game. It should be damn-near perfect at launch, considering its effects and importance. The fact of the matter is that the head politicians failed to organize and produce. It is their fault when that's their first priority.

I agree that she's obviously (and mistakenly) a frontman for the blame that should be given to the companies designing the website, but it should be noted that they expected millions of signups starting on the first day and their website was crippled by mere thousands.

  • Source? I recall hundreds of thousands attempting to access the site, but only 6 actually managing to succeed and get insurance on the first day. I'd imagine people were put off by the first week of service, or simply did not know due to the government shutdown commanding headlines. It is also complicated by the fact that the states have their own systems -_-. Nevertheless, it is still a significant -blam!- up.
