Why the Xbox One couldn't manage 1080p native on a game like CoD is beyond me. Seriously.

Cuz i nd 4 blg

Its the developers fault not the console. Forza 5 runs natively at 1080p and 60fps. Infinity Ward is just lazy

Edited by Quantum Leap: 11/2/2013 1:55:57 AMMy god, you're trying to compare a racing game to an FPS? Are you insane? You do realize how linear Forza is, right? CoD Ghosts has a lot more shit going on.
-
Forza isn't linear
-
It's extremely linear, based off of your previous moronic comments you've replied to me with, it's understandable that someone with your level of intelligence would assume otherwise.
-
Whatever helps you sleep at night
-
Your inevitable death would accomplish that issue.
-
Lolz get a life. Seriously.
-
You do realize how linear Forza is, correct? CoD has a lot more going on in the game, hence why it would be more difficult to have it running native 1080p, and no, Infinity Ward is not being lazy, considering they made the PS4 version 1080p native, if the Xbox One could handle it, they would have done the same for them, especially since they're tied so close with Microsoft.
-
You do realise that the XB1 has a different build that the devs have to work with than on the PS4?
-
No shit?
-
A difficult build, that is.
-
Also Call of duty is only close to microsoft because they pay them for early access to DLC so that wouldn't make sense. It would make more sense that to think that since call of duty does more poorly on Playstation that they would focus their resources there especially since they have to compete with Killzone which runs at 1080p and 60fps. Also call of duty sells well on xbox so why would they care how good it is on the xbox? there arent any competitors yet. But until Call of Duty ever gives a reason why then its just opinions and Xbox games will easily be 1080p and 60fps within a year just like PS3 had worse graphics than xbox 360 at the launch, but then got better.
It would make more sense that to think that since call of duty does more poorly on Playstation that they would focus their resources there
What the -blam!-? No, that wouldn't make any sense at all, whatsoever.
especially since they have to compete with Killzone which runs at 1080p and 60fps.
Again, your comments are flawed, based on what you just said, Infinity Ward made there new title 1080p native on the PS4 due to it having another title running at 1080p native, in-which would pressure them into bumping the resolution to 1080p native on said console in order to compete with the other title. However, you're missing one thing, Forza and other sports games on the One are 1080p native as well, so why wouldn't they attempt to aim for parody with said games resolutions on the Xbox One as they would with Killzone on the PS4?
Also call of duty sells well on xbox so why would they care how good it is on the xbox? there arent any competitors yet.
So essentially what you're telling me is since they sell there call of duty games well on the Xbox platform, that would render their thoughts into "not giving a shit" about how their game performs or visually looks, eventually threatening there sales records for the game on Microsofts system in the future because of the consumers being lead to the assumption that they could give two shits about how the game plays on there Xbox console? Again, it's a hardware issue.

They are a FPS just like Killzone. http://www.gamezone.com/news/2013/10/31/major-nelson-xbox-one-fully-supports-native-1080p-at-60-fps Read for yourself its the developers fault.
-
Edited by Regicide: 11/2/2013 1:53:46 AMYou're more dumb than I had thought, of course Nelson would say something like that, it's damage control, he's not going to go out of his way to confirm the Xbox One isn't powerful enough to uphold Ghosts at 1080p/60fps, that is, unless he has a desire to be fired. It's a hardware problem, not the developers.

So your telling me battlefield 4 can run at 900p on ps4 and 720p on Xbox and battlefield has a whole lot more going on plus the maps are huge but yet call of duty can barely run at 720p when there is less going on? Proportionally call of duty should at least run at 900p on Xbox one so its just lazy developers. Forza is also not linear. You are moving fast so your enviorment in changing more than either call of duty or battlefield so there is even more going on
So your telling me battlefield 4 can run at 900p on ps4 and 720p on Xbox and battlefield has a whole lot more going on plus the maps are huge
Thanks for proving my point.
Proportionally call of duty should at least run at 900p on Xbox one so its just lazy developer
Again, no, it is not the developers, and how dumb of you to say that when putting into consideration how closely hooked infinity ward is with Microsoft.
Forza is also not linear.
Wrong...
You are moving fast so your enviorment in changing more than either call of duty or battlefield so there is even more going on
This makes absolutely zero sense when putting into effect the topic at hand, why would a game like Call Of Duty, that according to you, has a lot less going on than Forza have a lower resolution? Common sense bud, learn it.

Agreed
-
I'm amazed at how every single person on this site is an expert at writing textbooks worth of code for three different platforms.
-
3? Son you can't count. It's 6, you dummy. PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC :/
-
*sigh* These games are not going to Wii U. Xbox 360 and PS3 run on different architecture. Clearly we are only comparing PC to next gen.
-
Ghosts is coming to Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC so clearly they have to manufacture games for each of the platforms. Just because we're not discussing them, doesn't mean to say that we should dismiss them...
-
Cause the Wii U counts....oh wait, that's the sound of developers not making games for it.
-
I'll list all of the games that are coming to Wii U Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Call of Duty Ghosts Yep that's three franchises that are multiplatform that are available on all platforms.
