any idea what area you want to specialise in yet, OP?
Actually, yes! I want to specialize in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. I'd be working in an ER at a children's hospital.
I also want to do flight nursing. They're the guys who retrieve and work on patients on the Life Flight helicopters, but a few years of working in the ED (ER) and sometimes the ICU are required before you can do that.
That's one of the many reasons I chose nursing, the career mobility.
That's cool!
I've never heard of flight nursing, but I live in the UK, so maybe we don't have them here. I know we have air ambulances, but they normally have a paramedic and a doctor on board.

Thanks! Air ambulances would be another title for them! Saving lives at 193mph! :) Ours have paramedics and flight nurses (which are considered a "special breed" because of their tolerance for seeing crazy stuff and for the amount of certifications they have for the position).
