I believe in Snyder. I honestly do believe he's capable of making a near perfect superhero (and Superman in particular) movie if he's just given a blank check and no restrictions. Thing is, with WB... [i]everything[/i] is restricted. Affleck is a great actor himself and a damn good director (which is why I was relieved to hear he actually has an input in MoS2's story), but I just don't see him playing a good Batman yet. Nolan and Bale would be [i]horrible[/i] for a DCU IMO. Their tone just doesn't match up with the "shared universe" idea at all. I admired the realistic, quasi-Nolan approach Man of Steel went with though.

[/quote] When you say shared universe, I think you mean more characters than just Batman. Batman is definitely a solo kind of guy, which would be a good spark in the conflict between Batman and Superman because they both work differently.

I mean the more cosmic, sci fi characters. And despite being a huge Superman fan and part of the crowd who thinks that Superman would absolutely crush Batman in 95% of fights, I believe [url=http://www.bungie.net/7_I-Want-Batman-to-Beat-Superman-in-Man-of-Steel-2/en/Forum/Post?id=62084430#referred-ManofSteel]Batman should beat Superman[/url] in Man of Steel 2 as it would set up a great ideology for the shared universe. I can see all of this happening under Snyder's "fantastically realistic" direction and visuals. Nolan's? Ehhh...
