I think Infinite's underlying theme of 'how far would you go?' is more emotionally satisfying than Bio1's cerebral take on free will. Let's not forget Infinite has its own take on that theme (well, it's the same conclusion, it just highlights it in a radically different, albeit less engaging way).

This is essentially what it boils down to for me. Infinite's story may have been more complex and had all these deep underlying themes and shizzle, but for me it just wasn't as good. Rapture was just a more interesting place with characters that were more interesting.
Rapture's definitely more interesting and thematically compelling than Columbia, but Infinite has a better story, IMO. Story being the entire narrative in the fiction, not just how we the audience experience it (for the first time) (and that's the difference between story and plot.
