A game automatically gets 5/10 just for being functional from most reviewers.
Subtract five from both sides and it will give you the unadulterated score for the game outside of mere functionality.
5/10 = 0/5
6/10 = 1/5
etc etc etc

... Hold on what if the game is legitametly a 10/10? There's no distinction between a functional game and a shit game anymore! The score is -5/10-5/10. That makes no sense at all...

Edited by U124926: 10/26/2013 1:38:42 AMIf it's 10/10 it's 5/5.
-
What if it's a 0/0? Then it's a -5/10
-
Well first no it isn't, and second this is for /10 ratings not /0 ratings.
-
Are you sure? Do you want individuals to use a n/5 system as opposed to an n/10, n/100, or n/100.00 rating??
-
No, use a /10 system and then take the result and reduce it to a /5 system as demonstrated for best results. Shake well before serving.

... If you divide both numbers by two then you get the same fraction which when divided gives you the same number. So why does it matter if it's a 10/10 or a 5/5? For example a 7.75/10 is a 3.875/5. It's the same thing so why bother?

Reread the original post.

I figured.

That makes a lot of sense, though i wonder if it could be avoided by not reviewing non functioning games...
