No, not at all. It's just I always hated Myxlpyx as a villain.
-
No, it's just that neither Affleck nor David sound like people who would be associated with Batman in any way, shape, or form.
-
And Danny DeVito, Michael Keaton, Heath Ledger, and Tommy Lee Jones did? Ben Affleck is vastly overqualified to play Batman. It's about the shallowest friggin role in history.
-
Ben Affleck? Overqualified? Have you seen pearl harbour!

Edited by Rahm: 10/9/2013 8:46:06 PMHave you seen Argo? The Town? Hollywoodland? Good Will Hunting? I don't care if you don't think he's a great actor, or even a good actor. But he's definitely not a bad actor, and most likely he'll be a pretty good Batman. EDIT Whoops, forgot State of Play and Changing Lanes.

>calling Batman shallowest role in history How am I supposed to take you seriously anymore?
-
I mean he's not hard to play at all. You just need to talk in an annoyingly gruff voice and have a strong chin. That's pretty much it. But with the stupid-ass conniptions people are having about this, you'd think they had recast Adam West.
-
I don't doubt that he's a good actor/director, but he's definitely one of the last people I think of when I think Batman.
-
Edited by Rahm: 10/9/2013 8:50:25 PMThat's fine. But the people acting like he's the anti-christ who's going to run their beloved Batman franchise into the ground faster than a lightning bolt are just being dumb. But I'd also like to point out that the effeminate teenage heartthrob that was Heath Ledger was probably the last person most people expected to play the Joker, and I never imagined Christian Bale would have played Batman.

That's a good point, especially considering Christopher Nolan is attached to the Man of Steel series too. ^Content related. Heck, I remember how the Internet authority hated the idea of Daniel Craig as James Bond. Then we got Casino Royale and Skyfall. The point is, it's important to not rush to judgement before we see the finished product.
