  • That's $41.67 a month spent on smoking, and that's if you are a casual smoker in a reasonable area like VA, where taxes aren't through the roof. That is average, which means some are above and some are below that amount. $41 a month doesn't seem like much, but it could be invested or put into a retirement account instead of being used on smoking. The benefits are 100 times better and you'd actually be amazed at how much you can grow your money if you put as much effort into doing that instead of smoking.
