I'm not trying to sound like an ass but this could be used to advertised the Division. "The creator of this game died before it could even come out, R.I.P Tom Clancy"
English

Not really. He had nothing to do with the games that had his name on them after he sold his name to Ubi. I think it was back in 2008 maybe?
-
But the games are based on his books.
-
No they aren't. Rainbow Six is the only one that was based on one of his books. (the original Rainbow Six from 1998)

Edited by BritLemon: 10/3/2013 2:36:26 AMThe games are inspired by his books is what I meant to say. And these are the games that are actuallt based on his books: - Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six - Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Desert Siege - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder -Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell -Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 -Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield -Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 -Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm
-
Nope. The only team/group from his books that is in a game is Team Rainbow in the Rainbow Six games.
-
Huh... Just read that the Splinter Cell books and the Ghost Recon books are actually based on the games. The more you know.

Yeah, the last book Clancy wrote on his own was Teeth of the Tiger in 2003. The recent ones starting with Dead or Alive were ghost written by others such as Grant Blackwood and a couple others. Blackwood was also one of the writers who used the David Michaels penname when writing the SC and other game-based books.
