Dont you pay attention to the news???? Basically since they couldnt compromise and they couldn't raise the debt ceiling they had to shut down the government. From today to an unspecified date government programs and jobs will be shutting down slowly. National Parks will shutdown, court houses, NASA, etc wont be running. Some schools will slowly shut down, WIC, EBT's might end

Government didn't raise the debt ceiling, they don't have the money to pay their employees. Most government jobs are no longer there. All those jobs are no longer paying or are paying employees with IOUs.
