Have you heard of Halo: Contingency?
A new Halo game for the PC, this looks interesting, I just hope it actually gets released.
The developer said he got 120 applications from people wanting to help make it happen, he even put together a short animation reel to prove that he's actually got an engine and modeling system up and running (Cry3 engine).

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure this is at least a year old. In all reality this project will never be finished. It's not hard making an animation with some music. Making a "halo game" is notably more complex

This has been in works for quite some time already. If my memory serves, the first time I heard about this same project must have been at least two years ago. It's advanced a lot since then and the project name was changed at some point. But this has been going for a while. I really hope they get it finished. It must not be easy to make a non-profit game of that scale.
