A man pretending to be an undercover cop was arrested Monday at a cell phone store in Pueblo West by an actual undercover detective with the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office. The detective had been speaking with the clerk when he was approached by Roland Herrera, 63.
Herrera reportedly told the detective that he was an undercover officer. "Why do you have so many phones," Herrera asked. "Are you a drug dealer?"
Herrera then identified himself as "a cop" and ordered the detective to turn over his drugs. When detective asked to see Herrera's badge, the man told the detective again to "give him the drugs".
At that point, the detective showed Herrera his credentials and told him he was under arrest for impersonation of a peace officer.
