I know that some people are going to use this as an excuse for businesses cutting jobs but in my mind it's an easy cop out for them since those businesses wanted to cut jobs anyways.
And until the Feds do something to bring inflation down; which as I understand it, isn't going to happen, then wages continually need to be brought up to so that the jobs at minimum wage can afford a livable existence.

Core inflation is actually quite low in the US right now due to low velocity of money.

I realize that, but as people have said in the past an increase in wages is going to cause an increased cost in the product. If people don't want that, seemingly the only other option is to bring inflation down so that current wages are worth more. Because the current status quo doesn't seem appropriate, especially considering that it isn't a livable wage, and people are being forced to live on it, and the current wage is low compared to minimum wages in the past.
