Outflanked on all levels.
Even at home Obama was going to get a spanking on the vote, so I guess he has to thank Putin from saving him that embarrassment. America make claims but never provide a solid example. Even commitments to destroy their own stockpile have failed, and they then try to get the standard for category 1 redefined for use when applied to america.
It would be funny if it wasn't backed by america's want to create war.
(I'm a US citizen so feel free to point out any bias lol)
I think the issue is the citizen's of the US, just like back in revolutionary days we are still ruled by propaganda. For instance, conservative groups partner up with big corporations to make campaign money, whereas Obama handed out free phones to minorities. Now the problem is that our government doesn't want the citizen's to lose faith in them, so they keep trumpeting and stomping around world politics like a bull elephant with rabies, while breaking their own rules (though to be fair I don't think we have gassed/chemd anyone since Vietnam). The education rate of the US is slipping fast, which means ignorance is on the rise, which means the people are getting dumber and dumber, and will elect accordingly.
I'm considering moving to northern China in a few decades lol!
though to be fair I don't think we have gassed/chemd anyone since Vietnam
Did I hear someone say white phosphorus?
As the article points out, even under america's own standard WP is a chemical weapon - to quote the article "Pentagon now says that WP had been used against insurgents in Fallujah. The use of WP against civilians as a weapon is prohibited" - almost sounds like chemical warfare is Ok by the Pentagon, its only civilian use which is prohibited. But hold on america ... the people of Syria are civilians, its a civil war ... mixed messages?
And then the use of uranium weapons (Harvard report on their use in Iraq), how is that any better?? And this is not a retaliated attack, no one used these banned bombs against america first - again it is america setting the standard and the world await the US claims of un-fair when eventually a bomb of the same type is unleashed on american soil (so far, something only in movies)
